WordPress 3.3 was just released to the public Monday, December 12, 2011. This major release includes great new features for WordPress users and developers, bug fixes, and tightened security for comments feed.
Some of the highlights include a new way to upload media, widgets that stay where you put them, even if you change themes, and fly-out menus for single-click access to most areas of the dashboard.

The latest and greatest WordPress includes a new drag-and-drop uploader, hover menus for the navigation, a new toolbar, improved co-editing support, and a new Tumblr importer:

I upgraded my blog last night and it seems to be working fine. I may be mistaken, but I believe the overall performance is better. I can especially see the difference while using the back end of WordPress.

Thanks for your comment. Glad to hear the upgrade to WordPress 3.3 worked for you. There are some reports of plugins and theme issues at the WordPress.org forum. Did you notice any issues with your plugins?

So far, I have had zero problems with plugins interacting with the upgrade.
I've upgraded several smaller sites with no problems, however I'm waiting a bit on some websites that have ecommerce functions and also client websites. I want to give the plugins a chance to fix any problems.

Hi Chris,
I hear ya on waiting to upgrade WordPress for ecommerce sites. The last thing you want is a plugin conflict when $ is involved.
