Resources

Many have asked us what outside resources we use at WPSecurityLock or recommendations for WordPress Security. So we've compiled a list together for you.

  • Backup Services - To backup, restore and migrate your entire WordPress blog, we recommend the *BackupBuddy plugin. We use it on all our sites. SPECIAL DEAL: Save 25 % off by using coup0n code: WPSECURITYLOCKS.

*Mozy Online Backups - $5.99/Month! (I use the 3 computer backup service for $9.99 month)

  • Website Hosting - We are hosted at *HostGator. We find that their server applications are updated regularly when a new security release is available for Apache, Linux, PHP, MySQL, etc. They also provide excellent 24/7 customer support via telephone, live chat, ticket system and email. Another good choice for hosting is *Liquidweb.

Discount: If choose to go with *HostGator, be sure to enter coupon code: WPSECURITYLOCK25 to save 25% off any hosting package.

  • Malware Scanning - We have hourly scans done on our website by *Sucuri for unauthorized changes to our files, malware detection, DNS, Whois and SSL Certificates. No website owner should be without it.
  • Domain Registration - We register our domain names at *GoDaddy. They're domain registration interface is user friendly and easy to maintain. They also provide excellent 24/7 customer support via telephone, support tickets, and their support forum.
  • Password Management - We use *RoboForm and LastPass to securely manage our very strong passwords. They use strong encryption and are used by Fortune 500 companies and the US government.
  • Ecommerce Solutions - For a powerful shopping cart system, affiliate program, opt-in mailing lists, autoresponders, and more, we use *MarketersChoice, a reseller of 1ShoppingCart.

We also use and recommend *Wahmcart an affordable shopping cart solution for the work at home community.

  • Teleseminars - All of our teleseminars and audio replays are done through *InstantTeleseminar. It's super easy to use and can hold 2,000 simultaneous Internet listeners and 200+ on the telephone.
  • Secure File Transfer - When sharing very private information with our customers, we use *SendThisFile to securely transfer files with 128-bit SSL encryption.
  • WordPress Membership Solutions - We use both *WishList Member and *DigitalAccessPass. Both are great programs to run a membership site in WordPress.
  • WordPress Theme - We use the *Sleek theme utilizing the Genesis framework from *StudioPress. There are a wide variety of themes to choose from and their support forum and upgrades are excellent.

To create amazing sales pages, squeeze pages, launch pages, blog and more, try *OptimizePress.

  • Anti-Virus Programs - Here's two free anti-virus programs we recommend to help protect your computer: *AVG and *MalwareBytes. Both work very well together.
  • Recommend Books

WordPress - If you want to take your WordPress skills to the next level, I recommend reading the book, *Digging into WordPress by Chris Coyier and Jeff Starr. Amazing book!

Twitter - If you're a Twitter user we recommend getting the ebook *TwitrGlitch by Dan Morris, a step-by-step guide for solving Twitter problems.
